Bachelor of Liberal Arts

All teaching will be student centred aimed at fostering inquiry and critical thinking. Students will be encouraged to take charge of their own learning by closely reading the introduced texts under the mentorship of the faculty. Participating in seminars and expert lectures on various topics related to the field of humanities and social sciences would be integral to the learning process.

• Lay the groundwork for learners to explore multifarious fields of inquiry and prepare them for a wide range of careers.

• Acquire a broad understanding of humanities, social sciences, performing arts and fine arts.

• Cultivate effective communication skills including writing, speaking and presentation to express ideas in a coherent and intelligible manner.

• Encourage critical thinking and innovative problem-solving approaches that draw on interdisciplinary knowledge to address societal challenges.

• Cultivate competence by recognising and respecting diverse perspectives.

• Synthesize knowledge from multiple disciplines to develop a nuanced understanding of complex issues.

• Critically examine the historical, cultural and social contexts that shape knowledge.

• Encourage the learners to investigate socio-economic-cultural issues with a multi-disciplinary framework. 

• Encourage learners to integrate knowledge from different academic fields in order to develop well rounded, research based perspectives on complex global issues.

• Develop an understanding of cultures, political systems and social structures of different regions thereby enabling the learners to engage thoughtfully with national, global and cross-cultural issues.
